In terms of beaches, we are spolit for choice. The beach extends for miles in both directions, so it’s the perfect escape for a walk or a quick paddle.
You can walk to the beach from the barn or for a bit of variety many beaches and dunes are just a short drive away.

Norfolk is famous for its wide open spaces and big skies. Just a 10 minute drive away we have the wetlands of the Norfolk Broads and a little further afield to the wide expanse of salt marshes and mudflats near Blakeney and Cley. North Norfolk's landscape is diverse - as well as these wetland habitats, you might see field after field full of poppies near Cromer in summer or little terns who nest where the expansive dunes meet the beach at Happisburgh North Gap all the way to Winterton-on-sea.
This is a national park with over 125 miles of navigable lock-free waterways set in beautiful countryside, with charming towns and villages to stop at along the way.
We love to hire day boats and take a picnic or stop for lunch at one of the many country pubs on route - we take our dogs with us!
Please speak to us if you have your own boat and want to bring it with you - we may have space to accommodate it.

As well as herds of wild deer and the truly amazing bird life we have along our coast and throughout the Broads, keep an eye out for seals as we often see them swimming along the shoreline.
If you are visiting in winter, the large Grey seals come to the local beaches to give birth to their pups which makes a visit to Horsey Gap a must - last season we had over 2000 pups born!
This part of Norfolk is foodie heaven and is full of country pubs, farms shops, independent cafes, homegrown vegetable and egg stalls, and PYO fruit farms.
Seafood is especially good - we have a fresh fish shop in the village and a little drive up the coast is Rocky Bottoms who serve what they catch from their own fishing boat.
For a treat, we particularly love The Swan at Ingham and The Gunton Arms whose chefs do amazing things with locally sourced produce.
